A horrific mass shooting at a home in Cleveland, Texas, on Friday night claimed the lives of five people, including an 8-year-old child, and left several others injured. The suspect can not be found and authorities are looking for him.

According to the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a call of a harassment complaint at a residence on Walters Road in the Trails End area around 11:30 p.m. Friday. While they were on their way, they received multiple 911 calls of an active shooter incident at the same location.

When they arrived, they found four victims dead inside the home and an 8-year-old child who was critically wounded. The child was airlifted to a hospital but later succumbed to his injuries. Three other juveniles were also taken to the hospital with unknown injuries, while two more people were evaluated on the scene and released.

Sheriff Greg Capers told reporters that all the victims were from Honduras and ranged in age from 8 to 40. He said there were 10 people in the home at the time of the shooting, including several children. He described the killings as “execution-style” and said the motive was unclear.

The sheriff’s office said it had obtained an arrest warrant for the shooter and set a $5 million bond. The suspect is a Mexican national who faces five counts of murder. Capers said the suspect was known to law enforcement and had a criminal history.

The Texas Rangers are assisting with the investigation, which is still ongoing. The sheriff’s office urged anyone with information to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
