Singaporean man executed for trafficking 2.2 grams of cannabises
In many countries cannabis usage is legalized but Singapore decided to execute a man for trafficking 2.2 grams of the substance. The 46 year old man was put to death on Wednesday in Changi Prison, Singapore Prison Services said in statement. Activists claim he was convicted on weak evidence and received limited legal access during the prosecution process. The UN's Human Rights Office called on Singapore to "urgently reconsider" the execution but this was ignored by Singaporean officials and the execution proceeded. The man's name was Tangaraju Suppiah and I hereby send my condolences to his family and friends.
