What time did the Titanic sink
At 2:20 a.m. on April 15, 1912, the Titanic sunk into the North Atlantic Ocean circa (about) 400 miles south of Newfoundland, Canada. It was carrying 2,200 passengers and crew and struck an iceberg two and half hours before it sunk. There were 700 survivors and the remaining people basically froze to death in the freezing waters of the North Atlantic. There weren't enough lifeboats. In addition, there was a lack of emergency procedures. A lot of wealth people died in this tragedy including the British journalist William Thomas Stead and heirs to the Straus, Astor and Guggenheim fortunes. In 1985 the wreck of the Titanic was found on the ocean floor at a depth of 13,000 feet.
